Portslade Community College in the High Street, Portslade was originally a private boarding school called Windlesham School (now Portslade Community College run by the Local Authority) It was founded by Mrs Catherine Malden who purchased the Old Carfax Church, Oxford, which was demolished in 1896 (leaving the tower standing) and rebuilt stone by stone as a school chapel at her new Portslade school.
The chapel was dedicated to All Saints by the Bishop of Lewes in 1913.

In 1935 the Windlesham School left Portslade and moved to Highden near Findon, West Sussex. The Chapel was taken down once again stone by stone and re-erected at the school's new location.
Here is a view taken by Dave Sharp in 2006 showing the Community College without the chapel, which puts the scale of the chapel's removal into perspective.
My thanks to Dave Sharp for the information on this page.
