It was designed by Fr. Benedict Williamson and built in 1912 in a gothic/Romanesque style of roughcast with stone dressings. The church closed in 1992 and was demolished in the same year.
St Mary's Junior RC School was attached to the former Church building but now the Church has gone, there is a Mass Centre on the School property used by the local Roman Catholic Community.
Housing now occupies the site.
