This church is not easily photographed as it is rather buried among other buildings, this is about the best external view I was able to obtain.
The tower, being is very unusual in that it has a round flint tower. There are only two others like it in Sussex, Southease and Piddinghoe, both in the valley of the Ouse. This tower and the west wall to which it is attached are the only remnants of the original 13th century building.
The church was rather gloomy, and the flash was not really adequate to get a good picture, however this shot does convey the main elements of the nave and chancel.
This depiction of St James & St Andrew is in a window in the south wall.
And these two saints, St Martin of Tours and St Swithyn are high up on the same wall.
This sculpture of St Michael by Harry Phillips is mounted on the external wall of the tower, and dominates the small courtyard outside the church door. The sculpture was fixed in position in May 1976.
