Originally called London Road Chapel, this church was built as a mission church from the Countess of Huntingdon's Church in North Street. The expense was met solely by Mr Henry Brooker, a Brighton Solicitor and the building opened for worship on 21st July 1830.
Originally the Church of England liturgy was used, however this ceased in 1838 at the request of the congregation.
The exterior of the church was rendered with Portland cement in 1882.
Here is a rather gloomy view of the well proportioned interior. The large pulpit replaced a smaller one in 1878 and was made of New Zealand pine. The architect was William Sympson. The organ was installed in 1917 and was by Morgan and Smith of Hove.
The church closed in 1958 and was unfortunately demolished in 1976.
